Tesla Powerwall 3 and Powerwall 2 both provide 13.5 kWh of usable energy, but Powerwall 3 supplies up to 11.5 kW continuously and includes a solar inverter. Powerwall 2 supplies 5 kW continuously and is an AC battery designed to pair with a separate solar inverter.

Powerwall 3 uses lithium-ion battery cells. Tesla's current public technical datasheet and consumer specifications do not identify the specific cathode chemistry as lithium iron phosphate (LFP), nickel manganese cobalt (NMC), or another formulation, so a more specific claim should be treated as unconfirmed unless Tesla documents it for the exact model and market.
