Height43.5 in (1105 mm)
Width24 in (609 mm)
Depth with cover7.6 in (193 mm)

Tesla lists the glass front cover at 14.5 pounds and the bracket at 4.2 pounds. Those parts explain the difference between the bare-unit weight and total installed weight.

Equipment dimensions are not the required wall area

The installer also needs code- and manufacturer-compliant clearances, working space, a route for conduit, and access to isolation equipment. Separation from doors, windows, ignition sources, property lines, vehicles, and other batteries can be governed by local fire and electrical rules.

A 24-inch-wide wall strip therefore does not prove the location works. Ask the designer to mark the battery outline, bracket, conduit, Backup Gateway or Backup Switch, disconnects, bollards if needed, and service clearance on one drawing.

Plan the delivery path too

  • Confirm gate, stair, and doorway widths along the route from truck to mounting location.
  • Check the wall structure and fastening details for a 291-pound installed assembly.
  • Keep the unit above known flood exposure and away from routine impact.
  • Allow installers to move the unit with the equipment and crew specified by Tesla.
